Jiwan Lee   (she/her)

Lee is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Brown University's Population Studies and Training Center. Her research focuses on how social policies shape the economic and social well-being of families and children.

She earned a Ph.D. in Social Welfare Policy from Columbia University, where her dissertation examined the effects of state Paid Family Leave policies on maternal employment and the economic security of families with newborns. She is also affiliated with the Columbia Center on Poverty and Social Policy, where she has contributed to research on the Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
